Hunter Talent Guide
The Hunter is a highly versatile class that can be played in many different ways. While the Hunter excels at soloing, they can also play an important role within a group, performing pulling tasks along with crowd control, all the while doing good ranged damage.
The three categories for Hunter talents are Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival. For the most part, you want to select one tree to specialize in, with a secondary tree to put in some extra points. This Hunter Talent Guide will discuss each of these categories and provide some advice on where to place your talent points.
Beast Mastery
Beast Mastery talents generally focus on the Hunter's pet or the various aspects a Hunter uses. It is a good tree to specialize in for those who are primarily interested in soloing/leveling.
Essential Talents:
- Improved Aspect of the Hawk
- Endurance Training
- Focused Fire
- Thick Hide
- Improved Revive Pet
- Aspect Mastery
- Unleashed Fury
- Improved Mend Pet

- Intimidation
- Bestial Discipline
- Animal Handler
- Frenzy
- Ferocious Inspiration
- Bestial Wrath
- Serpent's Swiftness
- Longevity
- The Beast Within

- Beast Mastery
In general, it is a good idea to max these talents out, although you can choose not to do that for certain talents depending on your style of play. If you like to PVP, add Spirit Bond and Catlike Reflexes to the list above.
Marksmanship
The Marksmanship tree improves the ranged DPS of the Hunter, and is a good choice for specialization if you are interested in PVP or raiding. Along with Beast Mastery, this is one of the most popular trees for Hunters to specialize in.

Survival
The survival tree is good for Hunters who are interested in improving survivability and crowd control abilities. This does not seem to be a popular tree to specialize in, but it may be a good fit for you if you are interested in increasing the effectiveness of your traps, or if you are interested in improving melee combat and PVP skills.
